About Us

Catalyst Connection is Southwestern Pennsylvania’s premier manufacturing-focused economic development and consulting organization, operating as part of the federal Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) network. For over 35 years, Catalyst has helped small and mid-sized manufacturers elevate performance through business process improvement, innovation, and workforce development.

As a nonprofit and Industrial Resource Center, Catalyst is supported by public and private partners including the PA Department of Community and Economic Development and NIST MEP - to offer grants up to $35K and training programs such as SkillMill Manufacturing Training Labs and pre-apprenticeship certifications.

Catalyst Connection is dedicated to bridging the gap between business potential and capability - helping manufacturers in Pittsburgh and across the region operate more productively, innovate faster, and build a strong, skilled workforce.
