About Us

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is a national dairy cooperative representing nearly 10,000 family-owned farms across the U.S. Their production facility in New Wilmington, PA, processes high-quality dairy components - including specialty cheeses, nonfat dry milk, whey proteins, and nutritional ingredients - for food brands and retail products nationwide. DFA’s New Wilmington plant has earned national recognition for excellence, securing awards such as first place in provolone cheese and top performance across multiple categories at the National Milk Producers Federation Cheese Awards. The facility combines time-tested traditions with modern manufacturing, ensuring consistency, USDA compliance, and strict quality controls through on-site metallurgical and product labs.

Beyond product excellence, DFA actively supports rural communities through the DFA Cares Foundation, which funds food banks, disaster relief, and farm sustainability initiatives. The cooperative also offers financial and risk management tools to strengthen member-farm operations.
