About Us

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is one of twelve regional Reserve Banks in the U.S. Federal Reserve System serving as a key financial and economic institution. The Cleveland Bank oversees monetary policy implementation, bank supervision, and payment system operations while providing economic research, data analysis, and community development support. Its economists and staff produce regional and national outlooks on trends in employment, growth, housing, banking, and manufacturing. The institution also offers educational initiatives for K–12 students, teachers, and community organizations to promote financial literacy and better understanding of central banking. Through outreach efforts known as Community Advisory Councils, the Cleveland Fed listens to small business, agriculture, government, and nonprofit leaders - bringing local insights to inform policy decisions. The bank plays a strategic role in maintaining overall financial stability, fostering equitable economic development, and translating policy into action for the nation’s fourth Federal Reserve District which includes parts of seven states.
