Hoyt Center for the Arts

About Us

Our mission is to expand and enrich the life of the community through participation in the arts.

We are housed in two neighboring mansions designed by Frank Faulke for the Hoyt siblings May Emma and Alex Crawford Hoyt. May Emma’s Colonial Revival estate houses the galleries, classrooms and art studios central to our mission. Alex Crawford’s Tudor Revival estate is preserved as a period house reflecting the ‘golden age’ of life in Lawrence County during the Industrial Age. We invite you to visit us, browse our art collections, support local artists, take a class, or attend one of our community events!
