About Us

The Lawrence County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) is located at 750 Phelps Way, New Castle, Pennsylvania. The LCCTC is a technical educational institution founded in 1969 to meet the needs of the community and eight secondary sending schools in Lawrence County. The county’s population, according to the 2013 census statistics, is over 89,333 people.

The mission of LCCTC is to provide quality career-technical education programs and services that prepare youth and adults for success in the workplace, post-secondary, and community, now and in the future. Approximately 400 secondary students are served annually in thirteen various technology programs. The Joint Operating Committee, consisting of two members from each of the 8 sending schools, is the governing body of the Center.

Lawrence County Career and Technology Center also has the availability of quality, well-trained, highly-skilled, certified teachers and instructors, many who teach adult courses as well. Procedures are in place to provide course development, advertising, learning support, record keeping/attendance reports, program evaluation, and the awarding of certificates of completion.

The facility has classrooms that allow for hands-on training, as well as teacher-led classroom instruction with traditional chalkboards/whiteboards and pencil & paper. Students also study using Google platform and media and technical support equipment, such as white boards and projectors, are widely used. A fully-equipped lab is accessible for computer training and STEAM projects.
